How much does a pool fence cost per metre?
Powder-coated aluminium runs about $180-$260 a metre supplied and installed. Semi-frameless glass sits higher, and frameless glass is roughly $450-$700 a metre. Length, gates and access all move the final figure.
Do I legally need a pool fence?
Yes. Any pool or spa that can hold more than 300mm of water must have a compliant safety barrier under AS 1926.1 and your state's pool safety laws. Non-compliant barriers can attract fines.
Aluminium or glass - which should I choose?
Aluminium is the budget-friendly, low-maintenance option. Glass gives an unobstructed view and suits feature areas but costs more and shows water marks. Both can be made fully compliant.
How long does installation take?
A typical domestic pool fence goes in within 1-3 days once materials are on site, depending on length, number of gates and whether we're core-drilling into concrete.
Will I get a compliance certificate?
We build to the standard, but the certificate itself is issued by a registered pool safety inspector or certifier. We can arrange that inspection as an add-on in most states.
Does the quote include removing my old fence?
No - removal and disposal of an existing fence is a separate line. Flag it when you brief us so the quote is accurate.
